XipLink technology is ideal for optimization of dynamic wireless links that experience high latency, asymmetric connections, and high bit error rates, characteristics that are consistent across any mobile communications network.
In aviation and maritime systems XA-Series optimizer appliances can be placed in-line between the on-board LAN and the satellite up-link. In some military vehicles the XA-Series appliances also offer simple integration with on-board communications resources by placing them in-line.
In other transportation environments, where weight and power are restricted, system integrators are instead installing XipLink’s XE-104, a PC-104 form factor single board computer pre-loaded with XipLink’s wireless optimizer software. Installing the single board computer in-line is often easier than porting the software and in some cases can bypass added hardware certification issues that may arise from the use of an external appliance.
