XipLink wireless acceleration technology is founded on standards established for optimizing IP traffic over space based satellite networks and is also perfectly suited for use in terrestrial networks.
In addittion to increasing the useable bandwidth of links that may inter-connect traditional voice switches, wireless network operators are also maximizing the capacity of existing and emerging wireless data networks by using wireless optimizers in WiMax applications, mesh WiFi and fixed wireless back-haul networks and increasingly in low speed mobile data networks.
With hub optimizers placed strategically at base station tower locations, the network operator can opportunistically place accelerators at remote sites to maximize performance and to make the best use of valuable RF spectrum. XipLink’s wireless optimization software can traverse a mesh access network all the way across the back-haul to a fixed wireless tower location, optimizing the user’s connection across the wireless network and not just a single link as often found in space based networks.
XipLink’s XE-Series of embedded software is being adopted into an increasing number of small portable wireless devices and in-car portable terminals. Kernel level protocol enhancements and data compression allow XipLink’s suite of wireless optimization software to be easily ported into any CPE or mobile device running BSD, Linux or Windows and operates across any IP network topology with no end to end tunnel configuration required by the network operator.
