XipLink Announces Software Version 3.0
Cost Effective Advanced QoS for Multi-Use Networks
March 23, 2009 (Montreal, QC) – Xiplink, the technology leader for standards based wireless bandwidth optimization, today announced that XipLink Optimization Software (XipOS) Version 3.0 is available for controlled introduction, with general availability planned for May 15, 2009. This major software release enables XipLink customers to provision large concentrations of users, using different wireless networking technologies on a single hub optimizer and delivers integrated VPN capabilities using an intelligent, interactive user interface.
All XipLink wireless optimization solutions are based on Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) standards in combination with the Space Communications Protocol Standard (SCPS) and conform to the SatLabs I-PEP standard to ensure government and military organizations current and future multi-vendor interoperability.
In addition to a new graphical user interface to support easy provisioning of Logical Wireless Networks, XipOS 3.0 also delivers an easy-to-provision secure VPN solution using IPSec across networks using any XA-Series appliances, the XipStick™ portable optimizer for MSS users, the XE-104 single board computer, or the XE-Series of embedded software solutions for BSD, Linux and Windows based devices.
“The capabilities we deliver in this major release have been years in development and represent true integration of the most advanced TCP acceleration capabilities on the market including detailed Quality of Service controls. We further leverage recent CPU and memory innovations and immediately lower our customer’s entry cost, easily representing the highest value solution on the market.” says Charlie Younghusband, Sr. V.P. Product Management at XipLink.
